Ive been trying to contact the Allegan shelter for almost two weeks about Fiona the little pom/papillon dog (black and white) and no ones responded where she is, and now i see this video and shes all the way in the U.P. makes me very sad.
I’m sorry, but we had MANY black and white Shih Tzus. With 350, there is literally no way for us to know who you might have been referring to by a “black & white” dog. Our job was to move out the majority of the Shih Tzus quickly to get them healthy, we did not have anywhere near the space to do it here. We retained 38 of them for local adoptions.
Our message on the shelter phone ask that you do not call about the Shih Tzus, we have so many calls coming in we cannot take care of normal business. Come visit them, or contact us via e-mail with questions.
If you have submitted an adoption application, it will be reviewed with the other 1,300 that were received. If you meet our minimum requirements ( as outlined in the page “Adoption Process”, you will be contacted for further review.
Please understand with 1,300 applications, the “bar” for adoption approval will be set higher than usual to sort through them and ensure the best placement.
